The Fight of Komodo Dragon vs. The Lizard Beast

The air was thick with dust and heat as the sun dipped behind the blood-red horizon. In the ruins of what was once a bustling city, silence reigned—until the ground trembled.

From the rubble of collapsed buildings, a monstrous figure emerged, its scales glinting like forged steel. The Lizard Beast—over thirty feet tall, with jagged spines down its back and eyes that glowed a sinister green—let out a roar that cracked the remaining glass windows. It sniffed the air, sensing its adversary nearby.

Then, from the shadows, a flash of movement.

Commando Dragon dropped from a destroyed helicopter wreckage, rolling as he landed, his armor gleaming with ash and battle scars. Half man, half reptilian warrior, Commando Dragon was a product of genetic engineering—a supersoldier with draconic strength, enhanced reflexes, and tactical brilliance. His long tail flicked behind him, and his gauntlets crackled with charged energy.

The two titans locked eyes.

Without warning, the Lizard lunged, jaws open, its massive claws slashing through concrete as it charged. Commando Dragon dodged to the side, using a burst from his jetpack to launch himself over the beast. In midair, he unleashed a volley of plasma rounds from his dual wrist cannons. The shots struck the Lizard's back, drawing a roar of pain—but not enough to slow it.

The creature swung its tail like a wrecking ball, smashing through an office tower. Debris rained down, forcing Commando Dragon to roll again and dive behind cover. He activated his thermal vision and analyzed the beast's scales.

“Throat and underbelly—weak points,” he muttered, narrowing his eyes.

The Lizard turned again, this time spewing a torrent of acid breath that melted steel and stone. Commando Dragon sprinted through the falling rubble, keeping low and fast, leaping up the side of a half-standing building to gain height. He launched an electrified grappling hook and soared through the smoke-filled air, aiming directly for the monster's neck.

With a ferocious cry, he landed on the beast’s back and slammed a shock-charge blade into its spine. The Lizard shrieked and bucked, trying to throw him off. Commando Dragon held on, claws digging deep, blade sparking as it carved through scale.

But the Lizard wasn’t finished. With a sudden twist, it hurled itself backward, slamming into a skyscraper and crushing Commando Dragon against the steel frame. Dazed but not defeated, he dropped, rolled, and launched a drone that zipped toward the Lizard’s mouth. The drone exploded in a flash, disorienting the creature.

“This ends now,” Commando Dragon growled.

Drawing his final weapon—a plasma lance powered by a fusion core—he charged. The Lizard roared and reared up, preparing another blast of acid. But Commando Dragon was faster. With one fluid motion, he launched himself off a fallen beam and drove the lance into the creature’s exposed underbelly.

A blinding surge of energy pulsed out. The Lizard convulsed, screaming, then staggered backward. With a thunderous crash, it collapsed into the earth, sending a shockwave through the broken city.

Commando Dragon stood over the twitching body of the beast, his armor scorched, his breath heavy. The skies above cleared slightly, revealing stars beyond the smoke. The city was ruined, but the battle was won.

He tapped his communicator. “Command, target neutralized. Area secure.”

Static.

Then: “Copy that, Commando. Extraction en route.”

As the sound of gunships approached in the distance, Commando Dragon turned one last time to the fallen Lizard. A worthy opponent. But in the end, no monster could stand against the fire of the Dragon.
